  • We're in the shops!

Over the past year, The Ad Pad has made friends with a number of independent shops that have been happy to have us on their shelves. But, most recently, we're lining the aisles of one of London's biggest and best stationers - Covent Garden's one and only London Graphic Centre: With a labyrinth of layout pads and a myriad of markers gracing the store, we've been lucky enough to make the top shelf. If you or your agency already deal with London Graphic Centre, and you'd be interested in ordering The Ad Pad, just visit http://www.londongraphics.co.uk/searchresults/ad+pad

  • The Ad Pad loses its lines

No, it's no joke. The Ad Pad has released its first plain pad. No black lines. Just 55 whiter than white sheets of quality paper. Why? Well, it turns out our pads with a border have caused quite a stir - a tad like Marmite. Some people love 'em, and others? Well, they love drawing the lines themselves. But these are no ordinary plain pads. The Ad Pad has called on designer Dave Towers to produce a limited edition screen print to go slap-bang on the backboard - using the space like never before.   These screen printed pads are strictly...

We can't quite believe it ourselves. But, after some friendly conversations with the lovely folk at the Design Museum, we're pleased to announce that The Ad Pad will be available to buy in their shop from May.     As you can imagine, this is really big news for us. It means we get to hang out on shelf with the likes of Paul Smith, Anthony Burrill and Dave Trott. And, speaking of Paul Smith...     ...here's a scamp for one of his very first ads which was on show recently in the Design Museum. Turns out they were...

  • Make time for ideas

When we came up with The Ad Pad, it was never our intention to create a living, breathing brand. In fact, we never really thought it would exist as a product. It was purely an idea to save a bit of time at the most important stage of the ideas process. And guess what? The idea sat in our bottom draw for well over a year. Why? Well, because the three of us were bloody busy. The ad industry demands a lot of your time, yet there always seems to be a severe lack of it. This makes coming up...

  • Borderline Genius in Campaign magazine

We recently ran our first national ad in Campaign magazine. Full page. Cost an arm and nearly a leg, but with a line this strong we simply had to run it. The concept was conceived by Gareth Alvarez through One Minute Brief and started life like this:     With a bit of jiggery pokery and some beautiful hand-lettering by the one and only Alison Carmichael the ad ended up in the pages of Campaign like this:
